Cheers! … to the Pennachetti Family and their generous support of healthcare in Niagara
The Pennachetti Family, (from left) Len, Dorothy and John, proudly announce their support for the new health-care complex and Walker Family Cancer Centre. Niagara, ON (June 11, 2011) – More than three decades ago, the Pennachetti family helped pioneer the cultivation of noble European grape varietals in the Niagara Peninsula with the planting of their first Riesling and Chardonnay vines at Cave Spring Vineyard. Cave Spring Cellars has established itself as one of Canada’s most acclaimed wineries, earning a reputation for crafting elegant and distinctive cool-climate wines in the heart of Ontario’s wine country. The Pennachetti family has set themselves apart, not only in their wines, but in their philanthropic goals. They have been a generous supporter of the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation for years, helping to ensure our physicians have access to the state-of-the-art equipment they require to treat our loved ones. The SCGH Foundation, together with the It’s Our Time Campaign, is thrilled to announce the Pennachetti Family’s recent gift of $100,000 towards medical equipment purchases for our state-of-the-art health-care complex opening spring 2013. “We feel blessed to live in a region where there is so much abundance and opportunity. Having this new, modern hospital will help to make sure that Niagara continues to be a wonderful place for our children and their children to live, work and raise a family.” Our heartfelt thanks to all the members of the Pennachetti Family for doing their part to ensure quality healthcare is available in our community.
